At DeviceProblemFix, we believe that a technical solution is only useful when it actually works.
The Internet is full of articles that repeat the same instructions without checking whether those instructions solve the problem. A method may have worked several years ago but no longer work after a software update. It may also work on one device but fail on another.
Our approach is different.
When possible, we reproduce the problem, test potential solutions, and verify the result before publishing a guide.
Step 1: We Identify the Exact Problem
First, we define what is actually going wrong.
Instead of describing a problem in general terms, we try to identify the exact conditions under which it occurs.
This may include:
- device model;
- operating system;
- software or application version;
- connected accessories;
- network conditions;
- specific settings;
- actions that cause the problem to appear.
The more precisely a problem can be reproduced, the easier it is to find a reliable solution.
Step 2: We Reproduce the Problem
When possible, we intentionally reproduce the issue on the device or software involved.
This helps us determine whether the problem is real and under which conditions it occurs.
For example, if a feature stops working after an Android update, we check the behavior after the update rather than relying only on older instructions found online.
Step 3: We Test Possible Solutions
We test relevant methods that could potentially solve the problem.
This can include:
- changing system settings;
- checking application permissions;
- restarting or resetting specific components;
- testing different configurations;
- updating or reinstalling software;
- trying alternative methods;
- checking manufacturer-specific settings;
- testing solutions suggested by official documentation or other reliable sources.
Not every method works.
That is an important part of the investigation.
Step 4: We Check What Does Not Work
A solution that fails can be just as useful as a solution that works.
If a commonly recommended method does not solve the problem under the conditions we tested, we try to make that clear.
This can save readers time by preventing them from repeatedly trying solutions that are unlikely to help.
Step 5: We Verify the Result
After applying a potential solution, we test the original problem again.
The goal is not simply to see whether a setting changed.
We want to know whether the original problem was actually resolved.
If possible, we repeat the test to make sure the result was not accidental.
Step 6: We Document the Conditions
Technical solutions often depend on the exact environment.

Solutions Can Change
Technology changes constantly.

For that reason, we may update an article when new testing shows that the original method no longer works or when a better solution becomes available.
The date of an update can be important because it tells readers when the information was last reviewed.
We Do Not Promise That Every Solution Works on Every Device
There is no universal solution for every technical problem.
Different models, regions, software versions, applications, and configurations can behave differently.
When a solution has only been tested under specific conditions, we do not present it as a guaranteed fix for every device.
Instead, we explain the conditions under which the solution was tested.

We would rather publish one thoroughly tested solution than several generic articles filled with instructions that have never been verified.
